What is an Usher and what do they do?
An Usher welcomes parishioners as they enter the church, takes up the collection, and wishes everyone a good day after Mass. Other duties include selecting the people who make the Offertory presentation, assisting the elderly and disabled to be seated, placing informational materials in the pews, and cleaning up the church after Mass.
Why should I consider becoming an Usher? Ushering is a wonderful way to be a visible reminder of stewardship for the parish community through welcoming, praying, and serving during the Mass.
