Peer Leader Expectations
St. Robert Bellarmine Parish strives to guide our youth into a fruitful and personal encounter with our Lord. With the guidance of their mentors, the Confirmation Candidates will build a foundation with Jesus Christ that will impact the rest of their lives. In order to encourage these relationships with Christ, we are seeking Peer Leaders who are called to commitment to the SRB Confirmation students, their own personal faith and the SRB community. In order to be fully committed to the success of our community, we are asking that Peer leader for
Their Prescence.
It is important for the peer leaders to be present to the youth and an active member of the SRB community. This presence includes attendance at:
- All Confirmation Class meetings. Peer leaders are expected to arrive at 30min before and stay 30 min after to help prepare/clean up.
- All preparation meetings for Confirmation classes (these meetings take place most weeks on Tuesdays at 6:30pm to 8:00pm in the Youth Ministry Room.)
- The Confirmation Ceremony that is taking place on May 5, 2024.
- The Confirmation Year 2 Retreat that is taking place on April 14, 2024.
- Any other meetings that are needed to be fully prepared for the Confirmation classes and ceremony.
Personal Spiritual Growth
All Peer Leaders are expected to strive for and grow in their own spiritual relationship with Christ. This growth is done in the following ways: daily prayer, attendance at Holy Mass and Holy Days of Obligation, and committed to living out the Sacraments.
